Documents needed for Chinese Government Scholarship 2025:

Completed application form: You can download this after registering on the website of the Chinese government scholarship.

(1) Copy of highest degree certificate certified by a notary; transcript.

(2) Official medical form or Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Please add a copy of the above completed medical form by a doctor. The form must have a doctor’s signature; it must also bear the official seal of the hospital or medical center where it is done. At least one stamp must be stamped on top of the already attached card photograph. All forms older than 6 months from the date of application are not accepted.

(3) Resume in English or Chinese: You may attach a document with your specialty and academic interests, or you can fill it in directly in the appropriate field of the application form (space is rather limited, so I would advise attaching it in an attached document).

(4) Two letters of recommendation in English or in Chinese from the last university professors.

(5) TOEFL or IELTS Diploma if you are going to study in English and you are not native of an English-speaking country: The minimum scores of both diplomas are specified by each university for each type of course. If you do not have an IELTS certificate, you can provide a simple certificate stating that your last degree was taught in the English language. It is called an English proficiency certificate.

(6) Study Plan / Research Proposal.

(7) Passport Copy.

(8) Although it is NOT a compulsory requirement to apply for this scholarship, if you have an HSK diploma (level of Chinese) you must attach it. The Chinese government plans to finance up to two years of Chinese-language university studies so that you reach the level of Chinese required by the program you have chosen. But in case you already have a degree, your training would be a lower economic cost, so it increases your probability of getting the scholarship. This logic does not hold for courses taught in English since enrollment rates in the said courses are twice as large compared to those taught in Chinese.

(9) Acceptance letter issued by professors of a Chinese university where you want to take admission is another important but not essential requirement. Some universities prefer applicants to have an acceptance letter and some universities have no requirement of acceptance letter but if you have an acceptance letter it is a good symbol for you. If you are applying for a university with limited quota seats, then you must try for an acceptance letter. You will be preferred. If you are applying to a high-ranked university or universities, then you must try for an acceptance letter. You will be preferred. Start Emailing in October to Professors for Acceptance Letter. Research the professor’s profile at the desired university on a subject of interest and contact him or her via email from your own account-do not copy emails from others make it your own.

  • Tips: How to find the faculty of your desired university? Just go to google.com and write the University name for example Zhejiang University Faculty of Biochemistry or Life Sciences. You will see the faculty list. Email to the Professor, if he or she is not replying, don’t start shelling emails because they might be busy or they don’t need any new students.

(10) The other very important although not a prerequisite, the requirement is the pre- admission letter from the University at the destination. The Letter of Admission is a document usually issued by the University or School where you are a sought student. Though rarely issued, it becomes accessible unless you have already served time in that particular institution where they are acquainted with your merits. In its own perspective, the benefit is to be highlighted in being offered scholarships at that university. If you do not have one, you are assigned to any other university you have included as a priority (at the application stage, you will be given the chance to list three universities as choices in order of preference), or worse, any one they wish to assign you to.

(11) Other documents: Attach all research publications or other distinctions.

(12) If any specific Chinese University demands an application screening or an application process fee then submit it. Print its receipt and attach it to the two sets of your documents listed above

Note: It is advisable to select a good courier service to send your CSC scholarship application documents directly to the address of that Chinese University so that they reach you in time.

Why Choose Study in China? | 4 Basic Reasons:

Considering studying in China? Here is what you should know about one of the most fantastic study abroad destinations.

(1) World-class education

In 2020, China had 377,054 international students. This country is getting easier access for other students by offering programs taught in English and partnering with nearly 70 countries for mutual recognition of academic degrees.

It would put them in a better position regarding competition in the global economy. A nation understands that allowing foreigners to study in universities is significant, and China is now exerting greater efforts on this aspect by establishing better relations with well-known US universities, such as Stanford and New York University. The association has also received national attention and was the subject of a speech delivered by First Lady Michelle Obama in 2014.

The Government’s involvement in Chinese institutions is also aimed at developing a country-wide high level of education. Regardless of where you will choose to study in China, you can be sure your education will be first class.

(2) Professional Opportunities

China recently surpassed Japan as the world’s second largest economy, which means that there are more and more job opportunities available for international students! If you want to work in a Chinese company, you have to master the language and have a basic knowledge of their culture.

This would give an opportunity to be able to succeed in almost any major economy by working for a Chinese company. An international student would learn the language, be familiar with the culture, and know the labor market a bit, giving you some edge while competing for jobs. A few of the universities that have programs that are taught in English:

(3) Cost of Living

Compared to the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan, the daily cost of living in China is far less expensive. You could even purchase a large meal with a price range of about £ 2 to £ 3, and a round trip on public transport normally costs less than 50 cents. The study visa is going to cost £ 75 but would be far cheaper compared to the visa needed for a visit to the United Kingdom.

The rent, the most expensive of life abroad, is also very cheap. On average, a dormitory in Beijing, the capital, costs £ 112 per month.

(4) Unparalleled Experience

The Chinese have been innovators in almost all subjects for over 4,000 years, including business, astronomy, martial arts, philosophy, and mathematics, and contribute much to the study of art, literature, religion, among others. It is a richly developed experience, which is rewarding in ways beyond description, though it is a bit difficult to adjust to the culture.

China is also one of the best countries around the globe, as well as geographically diverse from Himalayan mountains to the northwest up to the Gobi desert in the north, and as you get into the coastal areas in the east, either mountains or beaches depend on where you are positioned. A wonderful country that one can be able to visit even when it takes him a while as he travels since the trains in the country have been a connection of all the main towns. Be sure of the fact that no matter which part of China you choose to study, it is going to change your life, and the experience is going to be unforgettable!
