Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet 3 core eligibility requirements to be considered for the 2026 cycle: citizenship of an African country, ordinary residence in Africa, and a high-caliber academic record.

  • Country Specifics: For the MBA, preference is often given to residents of countries where Eni operates, such as Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, and Egypt.
  • Work Experience: MBA candidates must have at least 2 years of full-time professional experience and high GMAT or GRE scores.
  • Academic Background: Applicants for St Antony’s Master’s programs should ideally have a first degree from an African university.

Application Process

The application process differs slightly depending on your chosen course of study.

  1. For MBA Applicants: You must submit a complete MBA application to the Saïd Business School. There is no separate application for the scholarship; the committee uses your standard MBA application details to determine eligibility. You must include 3 key documents: official transcripts, a one-page CV, and a written supporting statement. You must also complete the online video assessment, which includes motivation-based and competency-based questions.
  2. For St Antony’s Master’s Applicants: You must first apply for your chosen Master’s course through the University of Oxford graduate admissions portal. After applying to the university, you must complete a separate online Eni Scholarship application form available on the St Antony’s College website. This form requires you to detail your financial need and your plans to benefit your home country.
  3. References: You must provide 2 professional or academic references with valid institutional email addresses.

The deadlines are strict and correspond to the admission rounds of the University of Oxford:

  • MBA Program Deadline: January 7, 2026.
  • St Antony’s College Application Deadline: April 1, 2026.
  • Course Application Deadline: You must apply for your specific Master’s course by the January funding deadline (usually early January) to be eligible for university-wide consideration.
